About the Author
Dr. Delores M. Etter, Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Research, Development and Acquisition, leads R&D and acquisition throughout the U.S. Navy. She is the�first United States Naval Academy faculty member to hold the Office of Naval Research Distinguished Chair in Science and Technology. Dr. Etter is a member of the National Academy of Engineering, and a fellow of IEEE, AAAS, and ASEE.

if you need to use matlab this covers all the basics to get you started. has a glossary so it is great to use as a reference.

Newbie beware - many errors ahead!

Although this book is written for the new Matlab programmer, the number of errors (coding and grammatical) will lead the newbie astray. I gave up partway through the book because I did not know whether the errors I saw in my code were my own, or a result of the poor code examples in the book.
