The Title says it all!

This really is a complete study in modern drumset playing. The key word to this book is APPLICATION. Every exercise can be applied used. Recommended for Intermediate players who are ready to supercharge their playing to the next level.
The book starts with rudiments and their application to the drumset. Moves into some nice hand development excercises. Then covers the Rock, Funk spectrum with a lot of focus on Linear Grooves. Some Jazz Indepedence, Latin, and Afro-Cuban are next. Therer's some really nice and hard to find sections on world music rhythms (Greek, African, etc.) The book winds up with a very comprehensive coverage of odd-meter material and over the bar line exercises. The play alongs and DVD are nice too!

its a good DVD. It just doesn't break the beat down for you. He just plays it once and in some sections he only plays one beat instead of going through all of them. If you could read music very good, then you might not need this DVD.
