Stavros Tavoularis has received a Dipl. He has been a professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Ottawa since 1980, where he has served terms as the Department Chair and Director of the Ottawa-Carleton Institute for Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. His research interests include turbulence structure, turbulent diffusion, vortical flows, aerodynamics, biofluid dynamics, nuclear reactor thermal hydraulics and the development of experimental methods. Professor Tavoularis is a Fellow of the Engineering Institute of Canada, a Fellow of the Canadian Society for Mechanical Engineering and a recipient of the George S. Glinski Award for Excellence in Research.

About the Author
Stavros Tavoularis is a Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Ottawa and has served as Department Chair and Director of the Ottawa-Carleton Institute for Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. His research interests include turbulence structure and diffusion, vortical flows, aerodynamics, biofluid dynamics, nuclear reactor thermal hydraulics and experimental methods. Professor Tavoularis is a Fellow of the American Physical Society and Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering, the Engineering Institute of Canada, as well as the Canadian Society for Mechanical Engineering. He is a recipient of the George S. Glinski Award for Excellence in Research.

Not very satisfied with this book

Not very satisfied with this book; lacks some conciseness and organization. Apparently there were some errors in the optics section. However it still puts a lot of useful topics together.
